The Curwen Bursary - funding available for Suffolk resident

The Curwen Bursary is funded by a generous sponsor who wants to offer someone the chance to explore printmaking skills in a professional studio for a year long course.  This unique opportunity offers the successful applicant a fully funded place to attend the CPSC Certificate in Fine Art Printmaking from September 2025. This experience aims to teach the recipient creative fine art printmaking skills and techniques in a professional studio with professional artists.

  • Applications are welcome from all individuals of all abilities over 18yrs, who are permanent Suffolk residents and are able to provide proof of address.  They need to be able to learn, and work independently in a studio environment.
  • The CPSC Certificate course is from 30 September 2025, one day a week on Tuesdays, 10.00 - 4.00 for 31 weeks over 3 terms.  All course dates can be provided on request.
  • Applicants must be able to attend all studio dates, and provide their own transport to and from the studio.
  • All materials for the course will be provided
  • Planned Personal Development days with tutor support to revisit techniques and develop your work.

This is an opportunity to study a wide range of printmaking techniques in depth, and achieve the CPSC Certificate in Fine Art Printmaking. The course has a high level of technical support and individual tuition, enabling students to gain competence in a range of processes, whilst exploring and developing their own creative ideas. There is continuous feedback throughout the course from the artist tutors, and end of term assesments for all 3 terms from the Lead Tutor.
